I am not sure how to start this article and have been putting off writing it. Chelsea had a disappointing night in the Champions League last night, conceding another silly goal and missed a penalty. Against a team, which if in England would be in the Championship and Chelsea draw to them. This is no where near good enough.

Chelsea struggled early in the game to keep the ball and Genk started far the better team but as the game grow we got better and better. Fernando Torres had another tough game and didn’t impress. He didn’t receive the ball and therefore had to go and get the ball and then many of his runs were ignored.

After the Arsenal game I and many other Chelsea fans expected a reaction and as we were playing Genk everyone thought we would have. Many things need to change and fast otherwise we will be looking a bleak end to the season and I fear that Roman may do the usually with AVB.

The problems are there to be seen as they have been for a lot of the season. Chelsea can’t defend and now they are struggling to score. Bosingwa at RB has to stop, he can’t defend at the moment and is making school boy errors. The CB’s should be working better together and I think it might be worth trying Alex at the back again. The high defensive line isn’t working an this needs to addressed or if you play the high line then you have to think about playing two holding midfielders.

In the last two games no one has been passing to Torres, he has been waiting to receive the ball and making the runs but he has been ignored, even by Mata.

I was shocked at some of the tweets on my timeline on Wednesday night calling for AVB to be sacked. This is not acceptable, at the moment the team is struggling but the fans need to get behind them and help sort out the problems.

Now let everyone get behind the team and get the 3 points at Blackburn.
