Nothing has made me so happy to see a headline like this being reported by the newspapers. Things aren’t working out for him in Spain, and things aren’t working out here for us in England – so a perfect match, right?

Not only do we need a new manager, but I think he would be the only real high-calibre signing we could make. World-class managers are beginning to be driven off by Abramovich’s tendency to promote current form over long-term stability. Equally, José needs a chance to redeem himself – I’m sure I don’t need to remind anyone of their disastrous league campaign so far this season. He would definitely be given this chance at Chelsea, where he is so highly thought of.

The Daily Mail say “Chelsea have started the process of negotiation with Jose Mourinho about his potential availability in the summer and his desire to return to Stamford Bridge.”

The Sun are also reporting on Mourinho’s possible return; “The Special One is waiting for is the call from Blues’ billionaire owner Roman Abramovich, who is desperately seeking a new manager to take over from reviled interim boss Rafa Benitez.

I think a move like this would be really beneficial to both the club and Mourinho. Chelsea have been searching the globe for a manager to equal Mourinho’s achievements while he was at the club – we have been through 8 managers in 6 years!
