The Wayne Rooney saga continues with rumours of a 2nd bid being prepared by Chelsea. Last week, a source close to Rooney admitted to SkySports that the player feels “Angry and Confused” at the situation at Manchester United. He has spoken to a number of the older players at Chelsea and it would seem Rooney wants a move to Chelsea to work under Mourinho. Looking into this I think Wayne Rooney will be a Chelsea player before the end of the transfer window, if not sooner.

Ever since it was revealed that he had submitted a transfer request towards the end of last season after being dropped for United’s game against Real Madrid, the press and media have spoken about Rooney and his future non-stop. If anything, apart from sources close to Rooney we have not actually heard anything from him.

If Rooney wants a move from United to Chelsea he is going to have to force it through by handing in a transfer request. United have said many times over the last few weeks that Rooney is not for sale but we all know every player is for sale at the right price. They won’t want to keep an unhappy player and looking at Rooney’s options, it looks like he might only be Chelsea and Arsenal that are in for him.

It is going to be an interesting watch over the coming weeks as United continue to focus on Fabregas, could this help make way for Rooney? Will United turn down a £40M bid for Rooney? What will it take for United to do business?

The fact that we know now, after two meetings with Moyes, Rooney is still not happy at United. There can only be one outcome and that will be that he will hand in a formal transfer request in the coming days.
